Resident Quality Engineers

Based at the OEM plant and representing your company. The Resident Quality Engineer is the interface between your company and your customer. Our Resident Quality Engineers are all experienced at working for OEMs such as JLR and Bentley Motors as well as numerous Tier 1 suppliers and know what the expectations are of the Tier 1 and the OEM.

The tasks you can expect from our Resident Quality Engineers include:

  • Rapid response to non-conformance quality concerns across all shifts.
  • Initiate Level Zero analysis and start 8D investigation.
  • Implement containment activities such as stock sweeps to identify non-conforming parts or wrongly advised stock, avoiding high cost of employing other 3rd party sorting companies.
  • Populating 8D’s to D3 and presenting to your customer, within the required 24-hour deadline.
  • Liaise with various functions within the OEM such as SPQ, STA / SQA, PVT, CME and Production Management and attending daily events such as WCPA audits, to understand quality concerns, agree ownership and implement immediate next steps. Or dis-agree ownership and professionally push back to your customer if the evidence is not conclusive or if more information is required.
  • Reviewing eTrackers, accepting or rejecting where appropriate and reducing your cost liability and PPM for non-conformance.
  • Reviewing and populating AIMS, progressing to closure, accepting or rejecting ownership where appropriate and reducing your cost liability and PPM for non-conformance.
  • Intercepting stock to carry out proactive containment, quality inspection or rework before the customer is affected.
  • Collating data and populating reports for your company or your customer.
  • Supporting launch activities such as JLR nerve centre.
  • Supporting with maintaining / achieving JLRQ by keeping PPM to a minimum.
  • Reviewing and populating IQM warranty projects, progressing to closure, accepting or rejecting where appropriate and reducing your cost liability for non-conformance.
  • Attending warranty pallet reviews at the WRC (Warranty Return Centre) in Rugby, UK, accepting or rejecting where appropriate and further reducing your cost liability for non-conformance.
  • Conducting proactive conformance auditing on incoming stock to ensure Conformity of Production is adhered to.
